Now That REALLY Works for Me

April 12, 2012 By: amyswandering

A few months ago, I received an email from Kristen of We Are That Family that said some of my WFMW tips were going to be included in the new        That Works For Me! e-book.

To say that I was thrilled would be an understatement! But I will be honest, at the time I wasn’t sure that I would really be interested in buying it.

Now that I have the e-book in my hands on my computer, my opinion has changed drastically! It’s FANTASTIC!!

Consider That Works For Me! your new How-To Manual! I can’t even imagine the time & effort that must have gone into selecting the 800+ tips.

The e-book is broken down 24 categories. It is interactive, so you can click on a tip in the Table of Contents without having to scroll through the whole thing.

And the best part? A portion of the sales will go to Mercy House.

~*~ Save $1 when buying That Works For Me! with the code SAVE1 ~*~

I get to give away an e-book to one of my lovely readers!!!

Homeschool for Free: Scope & Sequence

Free Homeschool Scope & Sequence Lists

Once you step away from boxed curriculum, a scope & sequence will help you choose the right courses for your homeschool.

Just remember that this is a tool and not a must-do list! Follow God’s leading and choose what will benefit your children.

Are you planning out a high school path? I recommend checking the website of your local school district for graduation requirements. You can also check the admission requirements on college websites if your child is college-bound.

Here are some helpful lists to get you started:

World Book

Curriculum Maps

Core Knowledge Sequence

The Home Stretch: Planning

April 10, 2012 By: amyswandering1 Comment

This time of year is always when we knuckle down and get ‘er done.

No one around here wants to do summer school!

It is also the time when homeschool parents begin to make plans: what worked? what didn’t? what new subjects are needed?

I am still venturing into the foreign land of high school. 1 year down, 3 to go!

Budgets are tight and I want to help possibly lighten your load.

I’ve posted a link to my free homeschool curriculum ebinder before. Over the next few weeks, I will be breaking those links down into specific posts.

There are so many wonderful resources out there, but I think the hunt can be overwhelming to some.

{The hunt is my favorite part! It is the execution of said wonderful resources that is my hangup LOL.}

I hope to show that homeschooling doesn’t have to cost an arm & a leg!

Happy Planning!!
