This beautiful birdseed wreath is a simple & inexpensive homemade gift.

Great for the grandparents!!

Easy Birdseed Wreath

  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3 Tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 4 cups birdseed
  • non-stick cooking spray
  • bundt pan

Spray the bundt pan with the nonstick cooking spray.

Mix the warm water and gelatin in a bowl until dissolved. Whisk in the flour and corn syrup until well-combined. It will be thick.

Add in the seeds and stir until the all of the seeds are coated. It will be pretty sticky by this point.

Spoon the birdseed mixture into the pan, pressing down until it is packed and level. I used my hands on this step.

Allow to dry for about 24 hours*. The surface will harden and turn white when it is done. Gently remove your wreath from the pan, tie on a ribbon, and enjoy!

*After drying for 24 hours, you can place it in a 200 degree oven for 1-2 hours to ensure it is dry all the way through. Allow to cool before removing from the pan. Your wreath should feel rock-hard when it is ready.
